We Created 10 Campaigns Using Only AI — Here’s What Worked

AI-generated marketing visuals

AI is revolutionizing how we brainstorm, test, and produce marketing campaigns. But what happens when you go all in—no designers, no copywriters, no post-production—just ChatGPT? We put this to the test by running 10 promotional campaigns using nothing but prompt engineering and strategic thinking. Here’s what worked, what didn’t, and what you should keep in mind.

The Challenge

We wanted to understand the current boundaries of AI-generated content—specifically in campaign creation. Could we produce impactful visuals and messaging that felt brand-ready using just prompts and ChatGPT?

To ensure variety, we tested across sectors: tourism, FMCG, energy, fashion, wellness, and more. The goal: develop compelling, differentiated campaigns without relying on a single designer or creative team.

The Process

All campaigns were created using ChatGPT. Here’s what the process looked like:

  • We developed short creative briefs manually for each campaign
  • ChatGPT helped generate visual concepts, value propositions, and social copy
  • We provided iterative prompts to refine tone, slogans, and messaging alignment
  • Mock-ups were then assembled using the generated concepts and Canva/Figma

The Results

Here’s what we learned from running 10 ChatGPT-powered campaigns:

  • Speed: We developed campaign concepts in hours instead of days. That alone is a game-changer.
  • Message quality: ChatGPT was effective at delivering strong value propositions when fed brand tone and context.
  • Visual gaps: While we ideated strong visuals with AI support, we still needed tools like Canva to polish mock-ups for presentation.
  • Ethical watch-outs: As discussed in our AI Risks in Marketing article, some outputs risked mimicking known brands or styles. Avoiding copyright grey zones required human oversight.

The biggest win? We proved that lean teams can explore dozens of campaign ideas without heavy production or agency support.

Next Steps

This AI sprint model now fuels our approach to rapid creative testing. We plan to extend it to:

  • Packaging concepts
  • Seasonal campaign variations
  • Client ideation workshops
